Position Summary

Responsible for supervising the guest service staff, as well as run the daily operations of Surf and Swim customer service areas.  The management team is full of fun, energetic and hard working people, who can successfully supervise and train staff members in multiple areas.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Provide outstanding guest service at a Garland Aquatics facility.
  2. Supervise staff, which includes hiring and evaluating Guest Service staff to ensure productivity and quality standards are maintained.
  3. Perform duties of Guest Service staff as needed
  4. Perform daily routine operations and maintenance of facility to ensure high productivity and efficient operations.
  5. Enforce rules and policies to ensure safe conditions and operation of facility.
  6. Assist Pool Manager II in maintaining reports.
  7. Assist in Emergency Action Plan for facility.
  8. Inform Pool Manager II of inventory needs for the facility.
  9. Regular, reliable and punctual attendance.
  10. Maintain open lines of communication with necessary parties to ensure quality daily operations.
  11. Maintain positive relationships with guests to address issues and concerns.
  12. Maintain an inviting and healthy work environment for all staff by inspiring others with enthusiasm and positive energy.

 

 

 

Preferred Knowledge - Abilities & Skills

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:           

  • Knowledge of programs and activities at ta aquatics facility
  • Knowledge of basic aquatic facility procedures

Licenses & Certifications

Jeff Ellis and Associates Pool and Water park Lifeguard training, including First Aid and CPR license/ certification required by start date
Valid Class C Texas driver's license preferred

Physical Tasks & Working Conditions

The incumbent typically works in an outdoor environment with exposure to all weather conditions under direct sunlight and may be required to walk, bend, stoop, and climb five to six foot ladder.

Minimum Education & Work Experience

High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
1 year experience in a customer service position
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
