Responsible for providing administrative support to assigned department management and staff and carrying out secretarial responsibilities as established through departmental needs.
Essential Job Functions
Respond to inquiries by answering telephone calls, e-mails or face-to-face communication and direct calls and inquiries to appropriate personnel.
Record, transcribe and distribute various documentation.
Send, receive and distribute faxes to appropriate department personnel.
Collect and organize data for projects.
Prepare and maintain office records, reports and correspondence.
Archive documents and records by scanning into electronic format.
Preferred Knowledge - Abilities & Skills
Demonstrate ability to prioritize and simultaneously handle a variety of administrative tasks
Ability to utilize and manage Microsoft Windows, Office, and Outlook
Licenses & Certifications
Valid State of Texas Class C Drivers License.
Physical Tasks & Working Conditions
The incumbent works in a typical office environment, but some physical labor, exposure to dust and travel to various sites may occur. Physical tasks will include lifting, squatting, bending, stooping, walking. **This is a Temporary Part-Time position limited to working 1000 hours in a 12 month period.
Minimum Education & Work Experience
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
