To perform semi-skilled banquet set-up and custodial work at the Granville Arts Center.
Essential Job Functions
Prepares and cleans up building for daily operations or special events including, but not limited to, set up of tables, chairs, and technical theater equipment, cleaning of bathrooms and public areas and replenishing supplies used.
Assists Atrium Event Coordinator with coordination, set up and facility management.
Assists with cleaning of carpets, floors and windows and assists the Granville Arts Center staff with minor and routine repairs and maintenance.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Knowledge - Abilities & Skills
6 months to 1 year experience in maintenance, custodial services or similar experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
General knowledge of maintenance upkeep
Skill in operating general cleaning maintenance equipment
Ability to work to make independent decisions
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with City personnel

Physical Tasks & Working Conditions
The incumbent works in an outdoor and indoor environment; with occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Requires ability to carry 20 to 30 pounds. Tasks require physical labor, exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals. This position is required to work early mornings, late nights and weekends. Shift is less than 20 hours a week.

Minimum Education & Work Experience
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) No experience required Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
