  • Position Summary

    Students will be participating in the Student Ambassador Program to gain valuable work experience and learn more about the exciting careers in City government!

     

     

    Essential Job Functions

    1) May be responsible for project assignments, research and analysis.

    2) May prepare written reports, communication or correspondence on behalf of the department.

    3) May attend various events and functions.

    4) May make presentations on assignment status and progress.

    Preferred Knowledge - Abilities & Skills

     

    Education/ Experience:     

    • 1 year experience in related area of study

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • General knowledge of the principles and practices of business organizations
    • Technical and communications skills, both oral and written
    • Proficient skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
    • Ability to take on challenges and learn at a quick pace

    Licenses & Certifications

     None required

    Physical Tasks & Working Conditions

    The incumbent works in a typical office environment; relatively free from any environmental hazards or conditions. Depending on the location of the internship, may be exposed to some unpleasant environmental conditions.

    Minimum Education & Work Experience

     Pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university
     Must at least be in first to fourth year of college
     No experience required
    Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
