Position Summary

Responsible for continuity of services related to HR information systems, ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes and upgrades, and complex report writing in support of HR operations, utilizing data from the HRIS, ATS, Training, and Benefits related systems.




Target Hiring Range: $52,973/Yr - $65,666/Yr

Essential Job Functions

  1. Serves as the primary data integrity, validation and reporting partner for all HRIS functions.
  2. Effectively documents system processes, configurations and workflows and identifies opportunities for changes/efficiencies.
  3. From a generalist perspective, evaluates, recommends and develops needed improvements autonomously and as part of the larger HR team.
  4. Help strategically drive adoption of the HRIS technology and processes, including development and delivery of end-user training, standard operating procedures and tutorials.
  5. Develops data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse, and standardize data in order to generate insights and addresses reporting needs.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to customer service including timely responses to internal customers and appropriate escalation of issues as needed.
  7. Ability to build relationships and act as the liaison with IT, Payroll, HR Project Management and related teams.
  8. Provide supplemental support for all HRIS functions as needed.

Minimum Education & Work Experience

Associates degree in business administration, human resources, information technology, or related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong technical acumen, including understanding of database objects and administration
Specialist-level knowledge of core HR functions and related systems
2-4 years’ professional work experience in HRIS, Human Resources or Information Technology with demonstrated performance executing process or system improvements
Ability to identify issues and provide solutions autonomously
Strong attention to detail and ability to be timely and responsive to the needs of the department and organization
Expert level knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Access

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Preferred Knowledge - Abilities & Skills

Education/ Experience:     

  • Associates degree in business administration, human resources, information technology, or related field


  • 4 or more years’ professional work experience leading HRIS or Information Technology projects or system improvement


  • Generalist or above level knowledge of core HR functions and related systems


  • Proficiency with SQL and creating scripts to automate integrations/interfaces between various systems


  • Workday experience preferred

Licenses & Certifications

Valid Class C Texas driver's license

Physical Tasks & Working Conditions

The incumbent works in a typical office environment; relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards.
