Responsible for assisting with customer service for all activities, events and services including box office sales scheduled at the PRCAD facilities.
Target Hiring Range: $12.00/hr - $14.70/hr
Essential Job Functions
Assist the public by answering phones as required to give information regarding programs, schedules and other related information.
Assist in control of equipment and supplies.
Provide customer services to patrons in the center and on the phone.
Register participants in the computer system.
Enforce and maintain City and Departmental policies as needed.
Interpret and relate departmental rules and policies.
Assist the public in the sale of tickets for events in Arts Center facilities.
Process ticket sales and balance daily ticket receipts for multiple groups. Handle monetary transactions, exchanges and refunds.
Oversee the processing of credit card machines on a daily basis.
Answering multiple phone lines and directing patrons for assistance.
Minimum Education & Work Experience
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) 1 year experience in general customer service and/or basic computer skills Type at least 40 words per minute Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Knowledge - Abilities & Skills
1-3 years experience in customer service industry

General knowledge of various recreational activities and the ability to communicate
Skill to operate equipment and perform physical work as required
Skill to operate office equipment, computers, telephones, and photocopiers
Skill in utilizing tools required for technical work
Ability to understand and follow instructions

The incumbent works in a typical office environment; relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Shift requires weekend work and a varying schedule.
