Responsible for supervising lifeguards and guest services staff, as well as run the daily operations of one of Garland’s aquatic facilities.  The management team is full of fun, energetic and hard working people, who can successfully supervise and train staff members in multiple areas.

 

Starts at $16.50/hr

1. Provide outstanding guest service at a Garland Aquatic Facility.
2. Supervise staff, which includes hiring and evaluating aquatic staff to ensure productivity and quality standards are maintained.
3. Perform duties of Head Lifeguard and Lifeguard as needed.
4. Perform daily operations and maintenance of facility to ensure high productivity and efficient operations.
5. Enforce rules and policies to ensure safe conditions and operation of facility.
6. Monitor and maintains water chemistry.
7. Assist Pool Manager II in maintaining reports.
8. Respond and react to emergency situations following Jeff Ellis and Associates guidelines and completes proper documentation.
9. Inform Pool Manager II of inventory needs for the facility.
10. Maintain open lines of communication with necessary parties to ensure quality daily operations.
11. Regular, reliable and punctual attendance.
12. Maintain positive relationships with guests to address issues and concerns.
13. Maintain an inviting and healthy work environment for all staff by inspiring others with enthusiasm and positive energy.

 

High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Ellis and Associates Pool and Water park Lifeguard training, including First Aid and CPR licenses/ certification
1 year experience in aquatic facility operations
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:           

• Knowledge of programs and activities at the aquatics facility
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures

 

Jeff Ellis and Associates Pool and Water park Lifeguard training, including First Aid and CPR license/ certification required by start date
Valid Class C Texas driver's license preferred

The incumbent typically works in an outdoor environment with exposure to all weather conditions under direct sunlight and may be required to walk, bend, stoop, and climb five to six foot ladder.
