Responsible for performing semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance and inspection of City of Garland facilities.
Essential Job Functions
Perform various duties as assigned which may involve specified hand tools or pieces of equipment.
Maintain up to date knowledge of various building materials and processes.
Assist other Facilities personnel with their assigned work orders.
Transport materials between job sites including furniture, appliances, building materials, etc.
Responsible for the service and maintenance of assigned vehicle and equipment as appropriate.
Clean around job site.
Minimum Education & Work Experience
High School Diploma 1 year experience Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Valid Class C Texas driver's license
Physical Tasks & Working Conditions
Occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. Occasional outside work. Incumbent is exposed to hazardous conditions while assisting with plumbing, electrical, heating/air conditioning, and general maintenance work. Physical tasks will include working with tools, lifting, squatting, climbing, bending, stooping, walking, and carrying supplies, as needed, to accomplish the tasks of the activity on a daily basis. Requires the ability to lift and/or carry 50 pounds.
