Responsible for performing semi-skilled or skilled tasks in the repair of streets, alleys, creeks and channels.

 

Taget Hiring Range: $14.21/hr - $17.10/hr

1) Operate 6 yard dump truck.
2) Transport materials between job sites.
3) Service and maintain vehicle.
4) Patch streets and alleys with hot mix.
5) Set steel on concrete paving projects.
6) Crack seal streets and alleys.
7) Clean inlets.
8) Clean around job site

 High School Diploma or equivalent
 No experience necessary
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of, experience or training in construction and maintenance of streets and underground drainage systems
• Knowledge of safety practices and hazards standard to work area
• Skill to operate various equipment and machinery
• Ability to understand and implement verbal and written instructions
• Ability to perform physical labor
• Ability to comprehend written and oral work assignments and perform work as assigned

 Valid Class C Texas driver's license

The incumbent works in a field environment including construction sites; outside in extreme heat/ cold, wet weather and noisy conditions.
