The Senior Librarian for Electronic Resources is responsible for selecting, evaluating, managing and providing support for electronic resources, databases, and the website for Garland Libraries.  The person in this position works closely with selectors, librarians, and the systems administrator on technical aspects of the virtual collection and provides general reference and reader’s advisory to the public. The Senior Librarian for Electronic Resources position reports to the Public Services Administrator. The weekly work schedule will include nights and weekends, with availability outside of regular hours to address critical and time-sensitive library needs.   The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing the public’s library needs, advising the public in their use of library materials, assisting library users with online resources and technologies, and handling reference and information search requests. Responsible for operating a variety of solid waste vehicles to collect and transport solid waste and recycling materials to the transfer station and/or landfill for disposal on a daily basis. Perform physically demanding duties during strenuous weather conditions. Primarily responsible for operating the Front End Loader in the Commercial Services Division. Also, responsible for the efficient operation and care of assigned equipment.   Target Hiring Range: $17.51/hr - $21.80/hr  

Responsible for operating heavy equipment and other vehicles for the purpose of excavating, processing, compacting substances on a daily basis. Also, responsible for the efficient operation and care of assigned equipment. This position will normally operate a bulldozers, compactors, or excavators in addition to water truck, dump truck, roll-off truck at the landfill site.  

Responsible for installing, operating, maintaining and repairing equipment and facilities for public swimming pools and all splash pads This position requires specific knowledge of the commercial swimming pool industry, including water chemistry, pool and splash pad equipment install and repair, and the ability to perform general facility maintenance and coordination with vendors.   Target Hiring Range: $17.00 - $20.00
